Further to allegations of his secret drinking habits and rowdy behaviour, Dangerous Dave has been involved in a car crash to be aired on Channel Five’s Fifth Gear on Monday 18 August at 8pm. To the presenters and production crew of the show, he and his girl-friend Joyce were simply employed to demonstrate the dangers of rolling convertable cars, but we know better in Mannakin Land and that it was a result of Dangerous Daves alchoholic antics.

Reports say he picked up new girl-friend Joyce and was showing off in his convertable after drinking heavily throughout the day. Once behind the wheel, it was a serious case of Rock n Roll.

Dangerous Dave and Joyce are currently in the spare part department of Dollby City Hospital waiting for repairs. Roz Mita, Mannakin director said, ‘It is a relief that although involved in a serious crash, both mannequins are fit enough for repairs, saving yet more junk from going into landfill.’

Repairs are due to start next week. Watch this space!

More than 75 scarecrows took part in the trail at the weekend, including those dressed as Noddy and Big Ears, St Trinian’s schoolgirls, a couch potato, Bill Oddie and a traffic warden. More than £10,000 was raised by the event and the money will go towards specialist equipment for the local primary school, internal décor for St Andrew’s Church and safety fencing for the village playground.

His injuries happened after he fell over. Christine Andrews, who had hired him as part of the scarecrow competition commented, ‘Captain Jack was dressed as an Elvis scarecrow and the title was ‘Elvis Isn’t Dead’, but he looked it when he fell over!’

Captain Jack was unable to comment, but his publicist reported that he had really enjoyed this role and wanted his fans to know that it was an accidental falling over and not a result of recent rumours about his alleged tomfoolery.

Queues at Dollby City reached an all time high today when several dolly’s arrived at Mannakin.

A bystander reported that not only are they queing up in storage areas, they have even overflowed into the garden of Mannakin Boss, Roz Mita.

She said, ‘We aim to resolve this issue as soon as possible, just as soon as we have managed to source some more sandpaper.’

Resident Aristocrat, Lady Silver was admitted earlier today to the Patchup Ward at Dollby City Hospital.

Chief surgeon at the hospital said, ‘ We were shocked to find her suffering with a damaged arm. We quickly helped to resolve the problem which had extended into her wrist and shoulder with a unique kind of glue gun and special filler injection. She was then sent for sanding – a revolutionary new kind of treatment that helps the Dollywood residents look and feel their best. All the celebrity dollies want it done and the treatment is in high demand!’

Lady Silver was unable to comment on the treatment, but visitors to the hospital commented on how good she now looks!
